This is going to be real short and sweet. There won't be a whole lot of playing both side play here, I got smoke mostly for one person. James Harden is back on the circus wheel & back being a dramatic narcissist. Here we are with more drama in Philadelphia and more drama regarding James Harden. Two days after 76ers GM Daryl Morey stated Harden trade talks are closed, Harden took the opportunity to point fingers and create more drama towards Morey and Harden's contract:
Usually I look at things from both sides, which I will briefly, but I am so tired of this crap with Harden. He chooses to make a statement in the middle of a sponsored Adidas event in Beijing. What an utter clown of a business man. 33 year old James Harden is a prime example of a millennial. The cat wants everything handed to him, and if he doesn't get what he wants then he throws a little tantrum. Making this a personal words of warfare in the public during YOUR main sponsor's time. Comical, and so was the spin work with his spit. Harden's words are funny, he said Morey has been vague and "dishonest" this summer in negotiations (not in the video), but this dude Harden demands a super-max and is speaking with the Clippers all in the same time? So, it's Morey being dishonest and wrong here? Seriously?
The hell kind of fantasy gives Harden the idea he's worth a super-max at this stage of his career, anyhow? The guy who was 0-6 from deep in two of Philadelphia's Round 2 losses and on top of that- scored 7 points in a deciding Game 7 with zero points in the second half. Super-max!? Boy, please. The only super-max he is worthy of these days is that of one paid out by a Dreams Club franchise. Which is probably the only team that will retire his number. I bet now that the two are fighting, Harden is going to gain weight and be lazy to force himself out. Ya know, the same behavior he gave the Nets. This video definitely shows a super-max NBA player that you want to build around:
Lazy Harden incoming. A once generational scorer, has turned into a complete laughing stock. Morey and the 76ers say they want to keep him and hope he starts training camp. Why? Because you feel you can't make a trade that will give you the same value of assests it took to get Harden? Let's be real, getting rid of Simmons was a blessing, the only immediate hurt was losing Seth Curry's three and that immediate first round pick. Did Harden pan out, no. Not a giant haul to now be picky about regarding a 33 year old Harden, after you already saw the offers for him. The needle didn't move. With no trade and Morey wanting Harden to show at camp, is Morey just a plain idiot? I know I said my smoke was for Harden, but like why are we even in this situation, Daryl. I hope they don't actually believe Harden and Embiid can win a title together. We saw last year's playoff run, the only thing we got from Embiid and Harden is an impressive montage of flopping and throwin' their bodies around like it's 2002 MTV Spring Break.
Now we get to hear this clownish drama and watch how it pans out for the next few weeks, maybe even longer. We know Harden will either be a no-show, or show up to camp out of shape to show his will to leave. Which will just cause more internal issues within the team. Especially if it's true that Embiid is in the "best shape of his life", Embiid will have his morphines high. I don't see far into that, either.
Morey needs to trade Harden. Even if you get little in exchange. Clippers are the only team who wants him, make the trade. Don't let this silly crap extend any further, build around Maxey. Maxey is your guy. If that doesn't work, then sell the team. 76ers franchise is a MESS, and has been for years. Just sell at this point, ha! Look at the events that have occurred in the 76ers franchise in past seasons:
Ouch. Sucks to suck to be a 76ers fan. If they give James Harden a super-max contract extension, then the fans need to just stick to the Eagles and forfeit their fandom of the 76ers. Again, there is no chance he's worth a super max at this stage. Plus, why even deal with the bulls***. Just nasty behavior. Let's change the subject, my head hurts.
