It's gameday. Installment LVIII of the Big One is soon upon us as the festivities in Vegas reach the head. Tonight is the main-event. 49ers versus Chiefs II. The face versus Mr. Irrelevant. Reid versus Shanahan. With six hours until kickoff, I am ready to lock in my pick. I have seen enough evaluation. The takebacks, differences, and adjustments from the LIV matchup have been considered. The body language has been read. The past tendencies have been spoken on. I am rolling with the Kansas City Chiefs to claim the Lombardi and solidify a dynasty.
I may be rollin' with the Chiefs tonight with my written prediction, but my pocketbook will remain closed. My conclusion to my prediction was quite simple: I think Spagnuolo and Mahomes will be too game-breaking for Shanahan and his 49ers to overcome. Hate him or love him- Mahomes is made for the moment. Not only is he made for it, he delivers in it, time and time again. Tonight will be no different. I will say; the prediction is a tough one to commit to. This 49ers team is a whole different monster than the 49ers team the Chiefs slayed in LIV. McCaffrey is going to be EXTREMELY tough to contain. There is no stopping him; you can only hope to contain him. With Trent Williams out there in the trenches... that is one difficult a** task. Having those two on his wing is like Wade returning to the NBA Playoffs with LeBron and Bosh. It's a huge storyline. Why am I going against them then?
Well, Spagz is still out on that KC sideline ready for a next move at any moment. In Spagz they trust as the Chiefs faithful love to sing. Spagz is going to SMASH that blitz button on Purdy. Which will be the game changer. Now, Purdy has proven some stones on this playoff run. I am not against him like I was going into the run. If he plays like he did in the Conference Championship round, then the 49ers are right there in striking distance to hoist the Lombardi. Chiefs will lean on the Chris Jones led D-line to reek havoc on Purdy, Nick Bolton to control the middle & contain CMC/Kittle, and also on L'Jarius Sneed and the secondary to not allow the San Fran' wideouts to change the pace and momentum of the game. I lean on the Chiefs D steppin' up to allow Mahomes and Reid to determine the final result. All eyes on CMC, though. He is the biggest difference compared to LIV.
I am confident we get a thriller in LVIII. I am confident that this matchup will be FAR better than the matchup in LIV. The vibes are different too. Vegas is set up perfectly for the Super Bowl. We have quite the atmosphere tonight as we have had since Thursday. We have quite the storylines. No doubt in my mind we see a damn ballgame, cha heard. Chiefs versus 49ers II. Super Bowl LVIII. Run it all the way up! Folks all I ask now is...
