The Style Bender's fight week has driven Paulo Costa back in the public pool of insecurities. The champ is obviously still on Costa's mind 24/7, stirring havoc inside Paulo's head but Paulo unfortunately likes to speak those thoughts; out loud in desperate shades of pity.
We had to hear all the excuses in the book the first few weeks after his brutal defeat to the undefeated Israel Adesanya (at the time). Costa was sooo hyped for that title match against Izzy; undefeated versus undefeated. Everyone was raving about Costa's physique and his strike power, but we all saw what Izzy did to that man. I shouldn't feel the need to post a gif of it, if you know you know. Costa got humiliated in one of the highest anticipated main-events that year, but the more this dude talks the more gas he puts on that fire of embarrassment.
His antics have officially reached an all-time low. With the bout now six months in the past, Costa felt he needed to share one more excuse for the reasons he lost... get this: Costa says he was too "drunk" or hungover from drinking a bottle of wine the night before the fight.
This man got t-bagged so bad he turned into John Adams. At this point Paulo Costa needs to retire. He has completely lost his mind. We should be testing him for CTE as well for the sake of his loved ones. Throw the bout with Reaper in New Zealand so we can hear the roar when Rob knocks this clown out.
C'mon man, like seriously... it's your first loss and you lost to the #3 pound for pound male fighter on the planet. Shut your goofy ass up, humble yourself and take defeat like a man so you can began your triumph. The behavior he has shown is sickening along with being comical as hell. Paulo's drunk excuse would have been rough if spoken right after the fight... but six months after the fight is straight up embarrassing. He is facing shame and embarrassment like no other, but has done it all to himself. I think it's safe to say that Izzy humped this man to the darkest part of his life, it could be a very long night for him against Reaper Rob in late spring. Ice up son, ice up!
