The carnival is back open and boy oh boy does March have the clowns runnin' ramped! We have seen crazy excuses after losing, fake retirement stunts & referees being straight up bozos, ya gotta laugh at these clowns.
It is quite disappointing that we have come to this point with Khamzat Chimaev... the only thing he is "smeshing" these days is his own career. What a clown this guy is. Chimaev's hype train was built off dominating no-ranks and confident outbursts on socials, powered by vicious KOs and quick finishes. I was all aboard his hype train, I recall several tweets and texts from me, praising his hype and confidence to knock anyone out. Now I laugh at all of his actions and any time he speaks (post on 'sm) I just read it in the "SpongeBob meme" font. Everything he says is straight smoke from the behind, he is a clown. Chimaev post on Instagram a few weeks back that he is retiring from MMA competition due to his "body's reaction to having covid" (lungs), and immediately I sought it out to be a goofy a** publicity stunt.
I was right of course, because now apparently he is fine and is seeking for a fight against Neil Magny (preferably) in July... how old is this guy, is he runnin' from top contenders? What a joke, faking retirements and all... silly stunt if you ask me. Ever since December this guy has went from a hype train to a talkin' clown. Anyone who actually thought he was retiring is a fool, he had a list of clownish acts that led up to his random & goofy IG retirement post, I visualized a publicity stunt from the first moment. This guy needs to get it together because it's hard to take him serious these days... who knows if he actually accepts a fight for July, but I'm sure it won't be a top contender or anyone he has talked at on social media.
"Big Mouth" is a jokester to the bone & always entertains... but at UFC Vegas 22 he was talkin' waaaay more than he actually was fighting, which drove spectators and fight fans mad. I love Holland's trademark banter he lets out in his bouts, it's a fantastic tool to use against your opponents mind. Here is the thing for Holland, ya gotta know when to be just a little serious... this main-event opportunity was his chance & he blew it. Holland is a terrible wrestler; utterly awful, it was tough to watch. He was completely outmatched on the ground, but he showed no effort to defend on the ground or to try to get back to his feet.
Fans took Holland's lack of defense on the ground and constant talkin' despite being controlled for minutes on in as disrespect and frustrating. When Holland did land strikes, he still almost finished Brunson early in the second round but his demeanor cost him and gave off real frustration. I understand having a fun attitude and enjoying what you do as you give a show to fans, but it's the main-event with title aspirations on the line... you have to find a level of seriousness and game or you show you don't truly want to be there. I felt it to be bizarre and clownish. Dana White was not pleased either:
Mental breakdown, trying to have fun or collapsing in the spotlight; one thing that is certain is it was clownish and a big let down.
Good ole Pat Riley decided to be a buyer before the trade deadline and blew it. He brings in Victor Oladipo from the Rockets... which makes absolutely no sense. 'Dipo is a baller, I like 'Dipo a lot but no way does he fit the Heat's plans with Jimmy Butler... like what in the hell. They are working around Tyler Herro, Jimmy Butler & Victor Oladipo as the scoring options... meaning Kendrick Nunn and Goran Dragic still at point guard. Is Oladipo ball heavy and running the offense like past teams (doesn't usually go far)? They have four big men now!
I think this trade, even with the LaMarcus Aldridge signing rumors' (LA is always a let down) makes the Heat worse in the big picture... Joel Embiid and Giannis are smiling. Pat Riley I am really confused on how you think Olapido and Butler are the co. to go with, we shall see.
No surprise here, Paulo Costa is back at being a damn clown. After six months, Costa is now blaming his loss to Israel Adesanya on him being "drunk or hungover" on wine before the fight... someone needs to be hired to take his phone and to stop him before talking in public because this guy has lost his wits! Utter clown.
Paulo Costa has completely fell off, he might have to be checked in and scanned for CTE. If this boy don't just stop already and shut the hell up!
Hot-Mic moment! Tim Peel spills his beans and set off a fiery of debate. NHL fired veteran ref' Tim Peel due to his hot-mic moment and now has to face the; quite extreme backlash.
Peel wasn't fired for spittin' the f bomb, he was obviously fired for embarrassing the NHL as more people now have come to understand the whole "makeup call"/penalty management... that unfortunately has been going on for a long, long time peeps. Many people throughout the pro hockey world has mentioned "make-up" calls and have had many opinions on the officiating over the years, even a former official has interviewed and came out saying he would do make-up calls but referenced it to game management. Not sure if the firing happened because of the bad image it gave the league or if the league won't allow that kind of officiating, either way- c'mon Tim Peel, ya clown.
It is a terrible look for the NHL to have one of it's officials speak out loud his desire to give one team a penalty, no matter the context. Gotta remember the whole legalized gambling on the horizon... not good, not good at all & its now a problem that will have continued focus going forward amongst the spectators and media.
Aljamain Sterling is nothing but a paper champ at this point and a hypocrite. I'm not one of those peeps who will take on if he was "acting" or exaggerating the illegal knee strike, but him showing all that disgust and not "accepting" the title (which he shouldn't) in the Octagon just to have a party, snappin' picks of joy with the title & making stupid fake promo videos for IG is a damn joke and a act of a clown.
I thought you would be better than that, Aljo... but I guess it's fine because it does nothing but add fuel to the epic war to come with Yan. Despite Aljo's claims based off fear, he will have to run it back with Petr Yan.
Herb Dean has been a repeated clown since the beginning of the year... but nothing tops him after the Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad fight, I was off my chair crying in laughter. It would take some time to find solid footage with how quick the cuts were, so if you have ESPN+ you have to watch this man after that poke to the eye.
Just watching Herb, I feel like the man is drunk or on something most of his fights. If you have ESPN+ watch the Edwards fight and tune into Dean's actions and behavior towards the fighters and the doctors, it's hilarious. Clown on clown on clown. He also gave us this beauty prior to the Edwards and Muhammad fight:
Just like Khamzat Chimaev, Sean O'Malley is a huge hype train quickly turning into a clown who is only for talk. We know he had a rough go with the ankle injury but this dudes attitude and unwillingness to humble himself is going to have him out of the UFC with a flick of the finger. Chito Vera brought the smoke quick and with power in their bout, having "Suga" Sean reelin' and on the ropes for the first time before his unfortunate leg injury. It's a guessing mans game if you say O'Malley would have withstood it and KOed or beat Vera. Vera looked great and was taking it to O'Malley, I think Vera would have won that fight even with out the injury.
O'Malley saying he is still undefeated and shying away from Vera's good performance, spreadin' cap and just acting like a jackass is clownish. I sure hope the guy doesn't lose in his bout coming up, hope he delivers the KO he promised or his hype train will be nothing but a afterthought.
