Saaaanta Maria! The diamonds are scorching hot as the League-Divisional-Series of the Classic is bringing blood pulsing noise to lite the October skies. We are gettin' bat-flip galore, game-altering nukes, blown saves by the elite, and pure goosebump creatin' crowd frenzies that have the noise amplified. The soundwaves are quake starting. The bar is full.
For the first time ever, each series of the LDS was deadlock at 1-1. No sweeps. Each series has brought the noise as we go into an epic Wednesday that has all matchups runnin' on the same day (last time this season). 8-teams. Two elimination games, and two pivotal game-threes. Yankees and Royals are set to continue their chess match, and Comerica Park will have its lights on for the first time in October in over a decade. The D will sure bring the noise, especially if they get to experience a nuke quite like the quality of Kerry Carpenter's EPIC go-ahead blast to secure a must-win GM-2 in Cleveland off the best closer in the game, Emmanuel Clase:

Kerry Carpenter with a definition of clutch swing: two strikes, down to the final out in the game, two ducks on, and he flattens the seams; droppin' to a knee and everything. Poetry in motion. A perfect finish to an outstanding game; a game that gave another example on how great the pitch clock is. We got handed down a pitching gem and defensive masterclass throughout nine innings of ball in quick and exciting fashion. We got to watch the best arm in the world right now in Tarik Skubal, get NASTY. Skubz is the first pitcher in MLB history to pitch at least 6.0 shutout innings while allowing fewer than 6 baserunners in each of his first 2 career postseason starts. It was a great game that sets up an epic GM-3. That still somehow wasn't the best GM-2. That honor belonged to the 'Phils and Mets, who logged in a duel that stands with some of the best playoff games in recent memory.
What a game in Philly between those two. The best overall game of the Classic to this point. With some strong-strong candidates that followed suit. Mets and Phillies gave us everything, with the drama post the 7th-inning being the best. First, it was Mark Vientos tying the game with a homer in the ninth. Then, Nick Castellanos got the job done after the Mets smartly passed Harper:

Carlos Mendoza did his best skipper work; very good work if I may say, despite the tough loss. I love the decision to bring out Diaz early to face the front of the Phillies order, and obviously I love the decision to NOT let Bryce Harper be the one to burn you; instead you let Nick Castellanos be the one. Mets may have lost either way, but they played the cards well.
The atmosphere inside the Bank during that GM-2 was incredible. We felt the same energy across the country, when San Diego showed us all how much we missed playoff baseball in Petco Park. The San Diego crowd showed up, and then some after a controversial and wild first two games of the series in LA. Like in Philly, the crowd in San Diego was so special it elevated the Padres on the field. When they score, it's in bunches. Game-three was a banger, and sets up another epic elimination game tonight. Can Nando be tamed? The superstar is SCORCHING hot, and gets the crowd into the game unlike any player. That alone is becoming nuclear. Fernando Tatis Jr. has hit 4 big flies in a 5-game span this postseason without striking-out. Tatis joins the legendary Lou Gehrig as the only big leaguers ever to have 4+ homers and no strikeouts over any 5-game span in the postseason. He's been unreal at the plate as the Pads look to eliminate the favorite Dodgers. Tatis has a game-breaker unlike anyone else. The super finisher in WWE 2K? Tatis has that thing on 100/100 when he does one of his trademark bat-flips or stare of the fly. It's an automatic game-altering move. A move that flips a switch. A move that sends crowds into a damn frenzy:

Today is set to bring even more noise. All games are runnin' rapid. Teams face elimination. LDS is set to bring even more noise. I am ready to hop in the box and watch the madness unfold. We have Tigers and Guardians dueling first, then the slate unravels. Here we go. Let there be noise!
