Out West

Baseball is straight up slangin' electricity out west with the AL West and AL Wild Card races reaching their final duels. In a weeks time we will have ourselves a winner(s) as the war for the playoffs reaches it's final moments. Who will fire the fatal shot?

We are officially on the final turn of the 2023 season in the big leagues. The playoff bracket will be set in stone by this time next Monday. The days following up? It's going to be days of intensity; sorrow; galore; and straight up noise as a few teams refuse to end their season on October 1st. Get ready to have a jolt of emotions get shot through your veins baseball fans... especially you Astros and Mariners followers.

The Rangers have pulled a full out Undertaker get up to retake the AL West in the final weeks of the season:

Not only does Texas sit atop the AL West, but they just dropped back in the Wild Card war to lay out the Jays and Mariners, leavin' casualties, and sweepin' them both to cash-in 7 wins to the bank with a possible AL West title to be deposited out.

Texas can single handily ruin Seattle's season as the clubs play their final 4 games against each other starting Thursday. Rangers put the Mariners .5 games back of the Wild Card and looking in, now they can deliver the final blow with a nail to the coffin.

Mariners reach dire times, and must find a way to dig down deep starting tonight in Houston. Backs are against the wall with divisional rivals breachin' the home gates to send your season into dust. M's finish the season on a seven game homestand against those Rangers AS WELL as the Astros. Hey Seattle, you can't blame any other team's results or shout at poor luck of the draw- your destiny is in your hands, and your hands only.

Houston and Texas hold their own fate. Makin' the times dire and dangerous. We got do or die vibes in the air out west, ya. Air smells of war; aspirations; and carnage. The birds up north in Toronto and sittin' in the second spot? Well, they just can't slip up. Houston is showin' how dangerous things can get when ya start slippin' up.

Houston, are we startin' to have a problem? The Reggie Miller choke-fest has left Arizona and has space landed in Houston. Not only have the 'Stros fell from the top of the AL West, they are now hanging off the cliff of the playoffs. To make things worse... they are losing to the worst two clubs in the big leagues. Yes, that's right. Houston is 3-9 in their last four series with 2 losses to the A's and 5 from the Royals. Royal spoil!

The Astros can't let this happen. They can't let the Kansas City Royals start their season's demise. You can't change history and take away the losses, but you can beat the Mariners and D-backs to never let those loses have weight. If the Astros blow this thing and miss the playoffs, they need to expect severe smoke.

As of today, two from the West are in the playoffs with the Rangers (y) and the Astros (WC) holdin' tickets. I am sure after a load of math and other brain burstin' activities, there is a slim possibility of all three teams gettin' in. It's gotta be slim with how the schedules are between the three. We would need to see splits and a total collapse of Toronto.

Time will tell and quick- we should have a realistic percentage by Thursday, after the 'Stros and Mariners series. The playoffs start tonight for those two clubs. I mean sh**, the playoffs start tonight for about seven clubs includin' the three out here in the West. I see it hard to believe that the Rangers; Mariners; and Astros can all get into the playoffs. I can be made a fool in minutes with the beauty we call sports, so who the hell knows.

What I do know as we give this a wrap, is that I am intrigued to the ceiling on findin' it all out, cha heard. Get the snacks out; some Creedence Clearwater in the speakers, and pump them vibes up. We have some damn good ball to watch on the diamond. Run it!
