Thug Rose... AND NEW! Rose Namajunas was spectacular and then some at UFC 261 as she blossomed into a champion once again. Thug Rose lit up Jacksonville with a stunning leg kick knockout in just 78 seconds over the dominating and fierce Zhang Weili. She left the UFC fans in awe and had Jacksonville losing their minds. What a damn kick... poetry in motion. Rose' kick was so flush it immediately dropped Weili and my jaw. Anyone who says Keith Peterson made a early stoppage is wrong. Peterson protected the fighter and stopped it at the exact right moment. Weili was struggling to walk when she got up as her legs crossed twice. Zhang got slept and Peterson did his job and protected her from anything worse. Rose Namajunas is the first woman to win a championship that she lost and did it in epic fashion as she snapped the great Zhang's 21 win MMA streak and undefeated streak of 5-0 in the UFC. Thug Rose stunned the world when she dropped Zhang... I was damn near doing flips as I roared and lost my wits in her behalf. It was an incredible performance, when Rose is fully on; she is one of the more exciting ATHLETES, man or female of any sport across the universe. Thug Rose is a firm example of "are you not entertained".
Thug Rose became the eighth fighter in UFC history to finish an opponent in a title fight by head kick. She joins Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, Renan Barao, Amanda Nunes, TJ Dillashaw, Holly Holm, and Valentina Shevchenko. The swift kick was Namajunas' 5th finish as a UFC Strawweight, the most in the history of the division. Rose had everyone going wild and also gave us a reaction from Joe squared & DC that will go down in history:

Rose' knockout might be one of the greatest shocks in UFC history... it was STUNNING. Thug Rose is an absolute boss. Rose continues to step up in the biggest moments & is always a must watch attraction. I did not expect the fight to end that quick & I am all for a rematch between the two. Zhang will bounce back... she is a fierce fighter and competitor. With the fight being finished so quick, I am all for with Dana just running this thing back as the next fight for the title.
Hats off to Rose on an incredible moment as she conquered her quest and dreams and recaptured her title. Another shoutout for creating the fireworks and electricity to set the tone for the main-event. Thug Rose is just a balla.. check out her emotional reaction after her KO:
